A Visit with Grandma & Pappy

Grandma and Pappy stopped by for a visit yesterday. They were bored at home. That means Grandma comes to work. She picked up sticks and raked some leaves. She's such a hard worker.
Pappy and Mason rolled the croquet ball back and forth along the bench.
And sat in the hammock. And Pappy pitched a few balls to Mason.

Our children are very fortunate to have great-grandparents in their lives. Especially ones like them.

Easter 2007

I made all the boys matching Easter ties (including Joe). Since Sawyer couldn't actually wear a tie, I appliqued one to the front of his onesie (and he had matching pants). I used a light blue fabric with small, random white polka dots.

Spenser had a new dress, with matching panties, which matched my skirt. And, if that weren't enough, we had matching headbands.

Mason

Mason was given strict orders to stay in the backyard. This is how I found him a few minutes later. Trying to escape to the front yard. His boot was stuck and he was caught in the act.

snow

Yesterday evening we had our first snow of the season. We probably only got about an inch, but school opened two hours late this morning. I'm watching the boys at the bus stop (from our computer room) and Jack and Carter are eating snow off the front steps of an elderly neighbor.

January's Mid-Month Update

On Saturday, Jan. 13th, Carter was baptized. Joe, who holds the priesthood, was able to perform the ordinance. Carter was very happy, as you can see by the look on his face.
On Sunday, Jan. 14th, we attended the 65th wedding anniversary party for Grandma and Pappy (Joe's maternal grandparents). Happy anniversary, Grandma and Pappy. And many more.

Mason was trying to rollerskate at the party. April, Joe's sister, bungeed a pillow to cushion his repeated falls.

Maybe he needed some for his knees, too.

December Re-Cap

December was a blur.

First we had Jack's 6th birthday:

And then Taylor's 10th birthday:

And then Christmas:

And then Carter's 8th birthday:

We had one birthday party (Jack) and two birthday sleepovers (Taylor and Carter) and a New Year's Eve sleepover. We were partied out by the end of the month.

Stay tuned for January's happenings.
